These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the motor-world.co.uk
website, and the purchase of goods in the on-line store. By using the
site, and by ordering goods on the site, you agree to be bound by them.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the
current rates, but exclusive of delivery charges, and should be correct
at the time of entering the information onto the system. We reserve the
right, however, to change prices shown on the website if they are
incorrect due to error, omission, or for any other reason, at any time
without notice. The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated
at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been
confirmed. The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the
Motor World web-site. Prices in our store may be higher or lower than
shown online.
Descriptions of the goods sold on the website are contained within it.
It is not practical to publish detailed technical specifications of all
the products that we sell. All images, descriptive matter,
specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of
giving an approximate description of the goods for sale. Our suppliers
have provided all such information to us, for that purpose. Whilst the
content of the website is as accurate and up to date as possible, we
cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information
contained within it at all times. Detailed specifications of all the
goods sold can be obtained from us on request.
To be eligible to purchase goods on the Website, you must be eighteen
years of age or over, and have a delivery address in the United Kingdom.
We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the
goods subject to these Terms and Conditions, and we have the right to
reject such offers at any time. The conclusion of a contract between you
and us will take place when we despatch the goods to you.
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the goods
ordered are not available, you will be notified by e-mail (or by other
means if no e-mail address has been provided) and you will have the
option either to wait until the item is available from stock or to
cancel your order.
After you have successfully placed an order with us, you will receive an
acknowledgement by e-mail (or by other means if no e-mail address has
been provided) of the order you have placed and a receipt which we
advise you to print off and save for your records.
We accept payment by Visa, Delta, Switch and MasterCard. We will provisionally
accept your order if your bank confirms that you have sufficient funds
available but no money will be debited from your card until we have confirmed
that your order will ship. In the event that fulfilment of your order is delayed
for any reason, we will notify you. If you choose to accept the delay and
confirm the order, we will debit your card immediately. This is because, for
your security, we do not hold your details on our system and only have a limited
window in which to complete the transaction. If you choose at this point to
cancel, no money will be debited and nothing will appear on your statement.
If for any reason we do not fulfil your order, we will notify you by e-mail
(or by other means if no e-mail address has been provided) within 24 hours.
If the order is cancelled after payment has been deducted, we will refund your
card with the original amount. Please note that it may take up to 5 working
days for your bank to process these refunds and we cannot be held responsible
for any delays in refund payments.
All credit / debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and
authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card
refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us we will
not be liable to you for any delay or non-delivery.
Our payment area is a fully-encrypted, high-security area which is run on our
behalf by a company specialising in secure online transactions. Neither they,
nor we, store any credit card details. This ensures that there is no possibility
they will be stolen either at the time of the transaction or afterwards. If you
have any concerns about safety over the Internet, please call our sales team who
will be happy to take your order over the phone or, alternatively, visit one of
our stores.
All products and services are subject to availability and may be
withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we
will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid
for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for
any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
For security reasons we cannot deliver goods to any other address than
that of the customer placing the order. Goods ordered from this website
will only be delivered to the countries listed on the registration form.
Delivery will be by Royal Mail or by courier. A signature is required
for all deliveries by courier. It is your responsibility to inspect the
goods delivered for damage before signing for them. You should refuse
delivery if the goods can be seen to be damaged.
We aim to despatch all goods within five working days of receiving an
order, providing that the goods are in stock. Delivery for most postal
addresses will normally be on the day following despatch. Delivery to
non-mainland or remote areas might take longer. If we are unable to
despatch your order within five working days - i.e. not including
weekends or bank holidays - we will contact you by e-mail (or by other
means if provided) and advise you of the expected date of despatch.
Damaged Goods
If the goods delivered to you are damaged, you must inform us of this
within 48 hours of the delivery date. We will then arrange for the goods
to be collected and inspected. Following inspection, providing the
damage has not been caused by neglect or mis-use, and if the goods have
not been fitted to a vehicle, we will replace damaged goods at our own
expense. We will also refund the cost of carriage to your credit or
debit card account.
If the goods returned as damaged are found to be in perfect condition
and proper working order, they will be returned to you, and the cost of
carriage will be charged to your credit or debit card account.
Incorrect Deliveries
If the goods delivered to you are the incorrect goods, you must inform
us of this within 48 hours of the delivery date. We will then arrange
for the goods to be collected and replaced, at our expense.
Shortages
If there is a shortage in your order you must inform us of this within
seven days of the delivery date. We will then despatch the outstanding
part of the order within five working days. If we are unable to do so
within that time, we will notify you of the expected despatch date.
Non-Delivery
If goods ordered have not been delivered to you within 14 days of the
expected despatch date given to you, you must notify us of this. If you
do not do so, then we will not accept any liability for the loss of the
goods.
Delivery charges will be waived on orders
over £100 to mainland UK. This offer excludes remote Highland locations, Eire,
Ulster and Island destinations. Selected bulky/heavy items such as heavy duty inverters, roof boxes, trailers, alloy wheels, Tyres, electric bikes, bikecycles, amplifiers, sub woofers and sub boxes are not
eligible for free delivery.
All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will
be added to the price of the products. Normal delivery charges are £5.
If your order is suitable for posting (i.e. not highly valuable, reasonably
light, small and not overly delicate) then we will post your order for
£2.50. A higher delivery charge will be applicable for items travelling to remote or non-mainland UK destinations.
You will be advised of the delivery charge at the checkout, before
making payment.
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the
Manufacturer's Guarantee. This guarantee specifically excludes faults
caused by accident, neglect, and misuse.
Goods may be returned for a refund or exchange if they are returned to
Motor World within 7 working days from receipt, subject to the following
conditions:
Items are returned carriage paid
Items are returned unused
Items are returned in original packaging
Items are returned in re-saleable condition
Items cannot be accepted for return which have been specially
ordered for you or manufactured to your specification
We reserve the right to deduct the original delivery cost from
the refund of the product returned
To ensure prompt & accurate processing of Home Shopping returns, all goods
must be returned to the address below with your customer details enclosed
in the parcel.
